The Spring May bank holiday is almost here.  It falls on Monday 31 May – only a few days away.

Many pharmacies will be closed and others operating different hours to usual on the Monday.

We are asking our NHS and local council colleagues to help us remind anyone who takes regular medication such as an inhaler, medicine or tablets to check their supplies now, and order any medication they think they will need rather than waiting until they run out.

With overnight stays and holidays now permitted, we are also asking our system colleagues to help us remind people not to forget to take their medicines with them if they are going away. And if they do, or need minor medical treatment or advice to visit a pharmacy as an option for quick, helpful advice. Other options are to visit  111.nhs.uk, or call 111.

Pharmacists can recommend over-the-counter treatments or direct patients to a more suitable clinical professional if necessary.

Residents should not go to pharmacy if they or someone they live with has symptoms of Covid-19.
