HLP-Level-1-checklist

This is a simple checklist for you to make sure your portfolio is complete.  You can use the same piece of evidence for more than one of the items on the list.  If you have any questions or would like some help with identifying suitable evidence for your HLP portfolio, please do get in touch so we can help you. Email LPC@communitypharmacyss.co.uk or call 01372 417726.

HLP-Self-Assessment-Tool

This can be used to record the one piece of evidence you need for each item on the checklist.  You do not need to record anything next to the RPS text – this is for guidance only.

HLP-Action-Plan-template  This needs to be completed and kept in your portfolio.  If you need additional guidance please contact LPC@communitypharmacyss.co.uk

West Sussex Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment

Since 1 April 2013, every Health and Wellbeing Board (HWB) in England has had a statutory responsibility to publish and keep up to date a statement of the need for pharmaceutical services of the population within its area. This is referred to as a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).

The current West Sussex PNA can be found here

The West Sussex draft for the new PNA due to be published in 2018  can be found here. Feedback provided will be considered for the final PNA, prior to its publication in February 2018.   The draft PNA consultation will be available from Friday 1 September 2017 until Sunday 5 November 2017.

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and Local Health Profiles

You can source local information about the local health profiles in your area and via the Joint Strategic Need Assessment page here and at https://fingertips.phe.org.uk/profile/health-profiles

Finally a top tip:

When you are ready to make your online declaration to the RSPH go to:

www.rsph.org.uk/our-services/registration-healthy-living-pharmacies-level1.html

Also, please remember that it takes up to 2 weeks to get email confirmation of your HLP level 1 accreditation after completing the RSPH declaration online… so it MUST be done at least 2 weeks before the 24th November Quality Payment Scheme Review Point for your completion of the Quality Point Declaration to NHSBSA.

Given the feedback at the event that some pharmacies have not received a confirmation email from RSPH due to the site crashing, please do chase this a few days after completing your online declaration.  The telephone number is 020 7265 7322.

There is also a list of FAQs on the RSPH HLP level 1 Declaration webpage.
