Quality Payments: Delay in receiving the WES gateway criterion email

The NHS BSA Provider Assurance Team was due to send an email to each pharmacy premises-shared NHSmail account on 21 December to notify contractors if their pharmacy had been validated as meeting the Warranted Environment Specification (WES) gateway criterion of the Quality Payments Scheme.

The email was delayed whilst further checks were undertaken to ensure the accuracy of the information being shared. The information will now be sent out early in 2019.

To support pharmacists throughout the quality payments period Community Pharmacy Surrey and Sussex will be arranging a number of activities, including:

  • one-to-one support for independent contractors
  • call-in-clinics where you can phone-in to get top-tips, individual advice and support from team members
  • an email helpline

In the meantime, contractors should start preparing for the process by making sure they are using their pharmacy premises (shared) NHSmail account and checking it daily.  Contractors needing help with NHSmail should, in the first instance:
