Partnership working to help communities feel prepared ahead of the festive period

December 15, 2020

With the onset of the festive season and the bank holidays ahead, this year more than ever, we know the importance of sharing community pharmacy messages with partners across Surrey & Sussex.

Our document of key festive messages will enable our partners to play their part in communicating relevant and useful information to each of their unique audiences

That’s why we are promoting a downloadable document of key festive messages to enable all our partners to play their part in communicating relevant and useful information to each of their unique audiences.

This is a vital part of being able to support our pharmacy teams to do what they do best on the NHS frontline.

We know that by asking patients and carers to:

– check opening times before they set out avoids frustration,
– to check their repeat prescription for their patients reduces the chance of running out,

and by reminding communities to treat staff with care and respect, we support our pharmacy teams to get on and do the job they love.

The latest issue of Surrey County Council’s Surrey Matters magazine is just one great example of spreading multiple pharmacy messages to a wide range of people, and demonstrates what can be achieved through partnership working.

Over the coming days and weeks we will continue to work with district and borough councils, care charities like Healthwatch, as well as community health professionals, to help local communities know how to get the best out of community pharmacy this season and ensure a positive experience for everyone.
