Reducing Gram Negative Bloodstream Infections

7th March 2019 9.30-16.00

Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront, 137 Kings Road, Brighton BN1 2JF

Play your part in reducing Gram Negative Bloodstream Infections in Sussex and East Surrey

NHS Improvement and Sussex and East Surrey (SES) Clinical Commissioning Groups are hosting an event which will bring together local healthcare professionals and partners with the shared interest of reducing the number of Gram Negative Bloodstream Infections (GNBSI) in our health economy.

In 2017/18, the Sussex and East Surrey-wide system saw over 1300 cases of E.coli bloodstream infections alone and this number continues to rise. We want to pool our collective knowledge, experience and examples of best practice to produce a strategy which aims to reduce these infections which not only impact on patients and families but increase the resource required from our providers.

If you are a GP, nurse, pharmacist, carer, other healthcare professional or someone with a particular interest or innovative ideas in this area, we’d love you to join us.
